Hanshi-Sei (Chief Grand Master) Richard Bernard is a Judan, 10th Degree Black Belt, with over four decades of dedication to the martial arts. On January 1, 1994, Mr. Bernard was issued International Licensure # USA10250JS by the All Japan Karate-Do Federation as authorized by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology which is entrusted to protect Japan's "National Treasures". Shidokan Kokusai Karate-Do/Kobu-Do Keiko Kenkyu Renmei, or Shidokan International, was founded by Mr. Bernard in July of 1996. This organization continues to carry on the cultural traditions of the Far East by insuring that its members maintain the highest standards of excellence and professionalism via a tri-level system of licensure, instructor appointments and licensure, rank accreditation and curriculum development. Our membership consists of martial artists from many different styles and diverse backgrounds. We are bound by duty and honor and adhere to the following creed:
